The Helicopter Flight Plan (HFP) system is a complex
system created for the departmental needs of Leonardo Helicopter Division. The main
modules, dedicated to the management of flight activity and the complete
administration of the Training Academy, are associated with the modules
reserved for the technical-maintenance management of the Experimental,
Production and Maintenance Organization areas.
HFP is used in the following Plants/Divisions:
- OPS & MNTC Modules – Experimentale Division – Cascina Costa (IT)
- Part M / Part145 Module – CAMO/MNTC Division – Cascina Costa (IT)
- Training Module – LDE Training Academy «A. Marchetti» – Sesto Calende (IT)
- Fleet Operations Center – Philadelphia (USA)
- Training Module – LDE Training Academies – Norway and Malaysia
As part of the management software development activities, ICT has coordinated the development projects on which the IAS has already begun to operate:
- E-COMMERCE
HFP allows the writing, updating and publication of the entire training catalog of the Training Academy. The purpose of this project is to supply both the master data of the courses in the catalog and their availability in the various planned occurrences, to allow the e-commerce platform the complete availability of data.
- MY TRAINING
The HFP software allows to constantly update the My Training system and its CRM, in particular the contracts, the hire of the simulators, the flight missions, the courses and the reservations of the slots scheduled. The project plans to feed the “Leonardo 4 Training”, giving students (pilots and technicians) and Companies the opportunity to consult the details of the training course reserved for them.
- DESIGN OF PRACTICAL SILLABUS AND ELECTRONIC LOGBOOK
The HFP system allows the assessment of a student in the context of “ground” courses that include tests with practical simulators. Upon opening the courses, for each individual student, HFP creates a control system containing all the steps to be performed and evaluated. The information is shared with the Moodle system, through web services. HFP allows students, Instructors and Assessors to develop innovative and effective methods for professional training.
- HFP STUDENT PERFORMANCE / NEW AW609 BLENDED TYPE RATING COURSE
Within the Training module, HFP manages short and long-term training planning and all operational activities in terms of resources (Classes, Simulators and Teaching staff) and necessary documentation (Activity Logs, Evaluations, Exams and Certifications).
The required development, which is part of a pilot project reserved for the AW609 aircraft for subsequent extension to the other training lines, has the purpose of creating a new interface for the management of “distance learning” training activities (activities that the student will have to follow before starting the course in which it is registered).
In addition, the development of an evaluation dashboard for the instructor staff was commissioned. For each course, the dashboard will have to show all the student’s historical information (completion status of the scheduled modules, feedback, marks, etc.), the data necessary to monitor the student’s progress and the progress of exercises and exams.
- AMS (ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) – E-ATL (ELECTRONIC – AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL LOGBOOK)
The project aims to allow the management of the operational and airworthiness data of the aircraft in digital format, through a dedicated APP that will allow you to fill the flight activity databases and the digitalization of defects on the aircraft, with a significant reduction in time. management and structuring of data for subsequent statistical processing. The application will allow the real-time updating of the daily inspection, pre-flight inspection, Briefing and operational data. The APP will be fully integrated with the HFP system and will allow the bidirectional updating of data.
